Sizing

The fabric of each dress in the Collection is really what makes these dresses special.  Each has been chosen for its stand alone beauty and quality. And each fabric has its own characteristics when it comes to sizing and fit. Although all dresses are cut from the same pattern, they all wear a little differently depending on the fabric.  Please refer to the Fit Notations and Note from the Designer before choosing your size.

Note on Fit from the Designer

Sizing in women's clothing varies widely from designer to designer.  To give you a starting point from which to judge your size in my dresses, please know that I wear between a size 8 and a size 10 in other, mid-level, bridge to designer dresses priced similarly to mine.  I wear a size 8 or a size 6 in my dresses.  I wear an 8 in the dresses that do not have any give in the fabric.  I choose to wear a size 6 in the dresses that have Lycra or are loose woven fabrics. Fit Notations

Double Wool Crepe with Lycra--The Lycra allows for a little give in the fit.

Loose Woven Tweeds--The loose woven nature of the fabric of the dresses in Spice, Nutmeg, and Pearl Grey allows for a little give in the fit.

Woven Silk Blend--The Mauve Ice Tweed dress has a little give in the fit.

Linen, Silk Blend, Silk and Wool, Polyester, Acrylic and all Silk fabrics do not stretch or give when worn.

Measurements

We recommend that you measure yourself with a fabric tape measure at the Bust, Waist and Hips and then refer to the Size Chart below and the Fit Notations and Note from the Designer above.
